Adding to the above point.For applying Cascading prompts :Goto the Universe in Tools select Cascading list of Values, from here we can give cascding prompts but this is not avilable in 6.5

Cascading prompts are nothing but the Nested Prompts. We can create the cascading prompt by using following Steps.- Select an Object and and edit the properties of the Object- Then Impose another Prompt as condition

Global filter is nothing but filter applied at universe level this can be called as a condition.after u export the universe to the repository it will be made available to the report devolopers. this is available in web in xir2

BO Report and Web Intelligence Issue
I am not able to save BO report created in Web Intelligence. . When I try to save after giving name and descriptions, keywords and all just plain box pops up but it is not saved. It used to work fine earlier. Could anybody tell me please what went wrong ??

Please check if your saving webi doc option in BO supervisor is still enabled for your id or not.

Goto CMC, than click on users n than (advance rights) and check whether on ur login id , save rights are given or not, sometimes this also creates problem.

There is a concept of Merge Dimension in BO 6.5. By using Merge Dimension we can get two data Providers data in a single report.Merge Dimension can be done by merging the only dimesion object with the same data type.

Yes we can view the sql uery in report level.once you run the query by selecting objects and filters in web intelligence.go to --->edit query--->isql.you can view the sql query.before running the query also you may directly view sql query by selecting isql buttonat top of the report panel.

If it is before prompts then problem with paramenters passing or server problem, not db problem. After prompts report tries to connect to db so it could be problem in passing paramenters.

If all CR (with or without prompt) behave in same way then something is wrong with your CRPE.Otherwise, there is some problem with prompts.Try changing the viewer for CR and it may run fine.Cheers.
