In Rational Robot,we are using verifcation points to check this.It will record the actaul and baseline values and if it fals while playbacking,the comparator will come in to picture and will check the diffrence  File comparison and file existence are two verification points

It depends on the functionality related with that module.We need to check whether that module is inter-related with other modules.If it is related with other modules,we need to test related modules too.Otherwise,if it is an independent module,no need to test other modules.
