How the classification of a test case will be done as User interface and verification, Functional and navigation?

For Example: Check the display of the link in left rail of the page.
Then this will come under UI or verification, as that links are not common for all the pages in website.

I suppose that this display of link should come under verification as this is not common for all the pages in website as footer and header, Kindly clarify me.
