You can restore the deleted objects, what ever objects you delete it will go only to recylebin and your TD admin only has the access to recycle bin and he can only clean it. So before ur TD admin cleans it inform him and he can restore the deleted objects.

To this you have to install an addin which is provided by mercury or you can yourself create a script in excel to export. Once you install the addin right click on the test cases in the test plan tab and you'll get the option to export the test cases to excel file...

When you work with WinRunner, you can choose to save your tests directly to your TestDirector database or while creating a test case in the TestDirector we can specify whether the script in automated or manual. And if it is automated script then TestDirector will build a skeleton for the script that can be later modified into one which could be used to test the AUT.

I tried Second one its not working, when you select defect copy into Clipboard and past in the Excel, its pasing only defect no..if am not wrong, the only whey to save into Excel is we need select file, Rlight click and Save As option there we can get into Excel.if its worg pls correct me

In8.2 there is no option for adding the two repositoriesin 9.0 is there that option( in 8.2 is using different tool QTPlus for adding)in 9.0 for saving the qtp script directly u can store QC, in 8.2 directlty we cannot save.ThanksSrinivasulu.chittoor

No, but if you update in the Lab the TD will show a pop up asking to update the same in plan, if you choose OK it will update in the plan also.

Click on 'Test Plan' tab,
Select the Folder where you want to add the Test case,
Right click on it,
on the popup window Click on 'New Test' button,
then it will pormpts for the test name,
after entering the name click OK button,
the created test will be added to the selected folder.

Yes - Create an script/excel macro using TestDirector/QC API's to do this. But make sure you have accessed TestDirector atleast once on the client machine before you execute the macro/script (This will load TD API's on client machine).

The fail status is not showing because,in WinRunner one option under settings is unchecked.Tools--->General Options--->Run--->Settings--->Check the Check box for Fail Tests on context sensitive Error.Ram
