Severity refers to the impact of bug on the software or any major functionality, whereas priority refers to the urgency in addressing the bug whether it has to be addressed immediately (high priority) or can be looked in later (low priority).

This varies by industry, company and project, but you can generally determine what to test by reviewing 1) requirements, 2) specifications, 3) work-flow diagrams, and 4) wireframes.

Deliverables can be anything and it purely depends upon your project. If you get a project for writing test cases, the test cases are the deliverables. And you need to submit to the Mother company / Client / customer.It is not a must every time it should be final result of the SDLC or STLC.
