How many Grids can we insert in a single component or page?

Any number of grids can be inserted in a page, as long as they are at the same occurs level. Where as in a scenario where nested levels exist on a page - grid should be at the last occur level, since grids cannot be inserted into grids or a scroll area into a grid.

Since in a page any number of records can exist at the same occurs level, any number of grids can exist at the same occurs level.

What happens if you don't specify a Search Record for a Component?

Search Record is mandatory to be included to save the component. In case we dont have any search record that we need to give PS_INSTALLATION as the Search record to proceed.

You will not be able to save the component if you don't specify a search record for a component. If there is no search record for the component, still you have to provide INSTALLATION (dummy search record) as a search record.

The other limitation of PS query is that if the resultset of the query is too large, then not all the data can be extracted into Excel or CSV file due to file size limitations.

You are absolutely correct in your statement, but leaving the temp table with data and clearing it before next use is not a good programming practice isint it.This is the reason I wrote the above thing. -
