Is getting a job as a software tester after 5 year gap without experienc in IT indusrty
Hello,
Some one please guide me should I will go in IT industry as a software tester.
I done BE with IT (2011 pass out), I had set up my business but unfortunately I got huge losses and not able to survive in business. I lose my confidence too..So, again I want to enter in IT industry. So, please help me and give me right track Is it possible or not? I want to go my career with a job oriented...crystalpellitier

If you have experience then there is a chance of getting into otherwise its hard to get an opportunity since its been 5 years. You can expect until and unless you have good command over the subject. Get trained in a good institute or consultancy where they also provide placement opportunities.

Database Testing / ETL
I have overall 7 years of IT experience. I am currently interested in ETL / DB Testing but i dont have much experience in the same hardly 8 months i was part of DB testing Project.
Before i had 5 years exp. in ASP and SQL Development projects, but since it was on classic ASP so there is not much scope with that expereince.
Can you please advice me now that i am choosing DB testing profile... -

I joined as manual testing engineer. Now working as Performance testing engineer (Assisting my senior). When i look back i feel very bad. I am currently working in Technical call centre as Tech support enggineer in networking from past 1 year 11 months. i am Masters in computer management and previously i worked as faculty in small institute -- language known C,C++,VB6.0, Oracle8.0. i want to shift from this job to software. do i need to go for any certification and if yes should i go for java certification or oracle apps and suggest me what should i go for. do i need to upgrade myself first and if yes suggest right career.
