I'm 2004 batch I.T student. For past 2years i never get into any job in software. I'm intrested in coding but now i got job in testing. Shall i continue in this job or change the field. Who had gud future testers or developers.

Whether it is testing or coding both have equal opportunities. As you have mentioned that you have not entered the software field for the past two years of your graduation.I would suggest you to take up this job and widen your knowledge in this field.All the best for your new job.

Hello, am studying 5th sem MCA. AM about to get a project(6th sem student project) in Mainframes. I know nothing about mainframes. Can any layman take up this challenge? plz advice...Thanx

I cannot give a exact answer as it depends on the project you are going to take.BUt I hope that the concern or the company which is taking for project is aware of this and so would be giving a training initally to navigate through mainframes and then assign a simple project.

I have got 3+ yrs experience as a xml operator in Publishing field and 1+ yr as a programmer in a bpo concern and now i want to change my career to testing field. I have got testing certification also. Is it possible for me to change my career

Whether it is testing or coding both have equal opportunities both career opportunities & Monetarywise. BUt you must widen your knowledge in whatever field you are and I would advice you not make switching of careers too often.

Kailas you can very well change your career and go into software testing. But before that try to learn some testing tools and then apply for the job.

The question is not up to the point. There are numerous openings in software for freshers like testing,web development,web designing,database designer and so on. The choice of each depends on the liking of an individual.

I hope that you are trying for a chnage in the same technology. There are wide options for java/jsp/j2ee .Try to learn Oracle also along with this . Keeping applying for all companies which needs personnels with these technologies and you would have a great shift soon.

Hi, I am an administration executive and draw a fair salary. But, I have an liking towards software from my school days. I could not do my B.E, because of my financial constraints, hence, landed doing B.Com. Now that I'm fairly settled, I want to switch to s/w line. I am also doing a course in testing and MCA. Hi all, presently I am working in Samsung As service Co-ordinator. I just want to make career in Software field.(SAP)-MM module but I don't have any exp in marterial manage. reputed institute don't give admission in SAP-mm module bcoz I don't have any professional degree. they told me without professional degree there's no career in this field if I join Msc or MCA it will took long time now tell me what should I do pls reply me ASAP. Now I am taking admission in Oracle DBA. Is there any future inthis field or not.
