Capacitive Battery

If you make a capacitor out of aluminum plates,
and electrically glue carbon or resistive plates to the aluminum ones, and use a dielectric between the sets of plates.
where the input is on the aluminum plates
where the output is on the resistive plates.
Would it charge quickly thru the aluminum plates and discharge slowly thru the resistive plates.
Making a fast charging battery ?
Has anyone ever tried this ??

The capacitor would definite charge faster when a voltage source is connected to the Aluminum plates. The semi conducting layer will provide smoothness in the equipotential lines and reduce the voltage stress on the insulating material. The capacitance of this system will depend solely on the thickness of insulator, area of the plates & permittivity of the insulator. The question of input/output needs more clarity.
