Interim test report is prepared when you have partially completed the testing.

Such report is created to give an idea to the user about the percentage of testing completed. This report contains details like, scope of testing, functioanl requirements tested in the current release, number of defects with their severity, any outstanding tasks, build number for the current deployed code, etc.

HI

The word 'interim' means temporary measuremant of the current testing status, ie if a testing cycle needs to be completed 10 days, for example Pm asked us the status for every 3 days then we can prepared a report with current status called 'Interim Report'.

The Interim Test Report provides an internal status of the current formal testing activities. It provides a summary of open defects and associated severity.
