Generally Load Testing is done for web based applications, where the number of users are more... for eg: websites like ICICI etc need load testing to be done prior deployment.

generally first thing need to do test for any kind of application involves four factors
:1.configuration
 2.functionality
 3.performance and
4.security....
(or)For load or performance testing,
 based on the no. of users and the http respponse. of the application....
