Hi,I have asked questions on Estimation. Please explain how can we estimate to Prepare test cases and execution of test cases. Is there any benchmarking is available for say Test cases prepared per day, executed per day etc.. If anyone knows please explain in detail.

Hi,
I personally dont think there is any prescribed format for estimation.It all depends on the tester's experience and how well versed he/she is with the system.I think peer review can also be of some help.
Correct me if I am wrong..

Hi,
what i think is estimation of test case (Making n Execution) should be made on the bases of:
1) Amount of time avl.
2) Covering complete functionality .
3) And all the other important factors in the application
plz correct me if i am wrong!!

Hi
Preparation of Test cases and Execution is purely depends on the Functionality.
For simple functionality you may execute 50 test cases and analuze the results
For critical functionality you may not execute more than 15 test cases as the time taken more for analyzing the results.
Normally for 8 man hours minimum test cases execution would be 40-60.
