We have securities in business objects

Like

1. Windows authentication

2. RDBMS securities

3. BO admin? ie Repository username / password

4. Supervisor level securities,

 

Windows authentication: This means securities provided by the operating system

RDBMS:                            Data base level security (like scoot/tiger)

BO admin?:                        Repository user name /password

Supervisor level:                 Supervisor can give access level to each user and user group

The given explanations are not exactly the one to answer the question.  Those are only security types or ways.  In BO, the security levels are applied to row level and column level.  Both have been handled by the administrator in supervisor tool or in designer tool.  These two levels of securities are used to restrict the data at row level or column level in case of a particular user or user group.  Please explore Business Objects forum to get more information about row level security and column level security.

Well I do agree with Raj, LDAP and Windows Authentication are not security levels but they are the types of Authentication followed by Business Objects.

The Types of Securities are Row Level, Object Level etc

1.Database level security
2.Row level security
3.Table mapping
4.Security table

They are two type of security in BO, first one row level security and another one column level security, this is to hide object any doubt contact with me jgd . ramesh @ gmail . com
