Let the salary be x

then 30*x/100 = 300

hence x = 1000

remaining sal 1000-300 = 700

& 1/4 of 700 = 175

so ans= 175

Answer is 175 because this is the only valid answer....
as  if 30% of any number is 300 den 1/4th of remaining that is 60% can never be more den 300...so the only valid option is 175...!!!!
