We can export from testdirector to excell sheet....Click on 'Test case' ->Right click->save as ...But export only one at a time......Even though if the testcase has steps it simply export all the steps

Hi Test Director is test mangement tool we can track the complete testing cycle of your project Where as bugzilla is only the defect tracking tool.

Test director: It is a test management tools. Here we are writing test cases and generating scripts also. And posting defects. One more advantage is requirements coverage option also is there.

BUGZILLA: It is useful only for tracking defects.

You can restore the deleted objects, what ever objects you delete it will go only to recylebin and your TD admin only has the access to recycle bin and he can only clean it. So before ur TD admin cleans it inform him and he can restore the deleted objects.

To this you have to install an addin which is provided by mercury or you can yourself create a script in excel to export. Once you install the addin right click on the test cases in the test plan tab and you'll get the option to export the test cases to excel file...

When you work with WinRunner, you can choose to save your tests directly to your TestDirector database or while creating a test case in the TestDirector we can specify whether the script in automated or manual. And if it is automated script then TestDirector will build a skeleton for the script that can be later modified into one which could be used to test the AUT.

I tried Second one its not working, when you select defect copy into Clipboard and past in the Excel, its pasing only defect no..if am not wrong, the only whey to save into Excel is we need select file, Rlight click and Save As option there we can get into Excel.if its worg pls correct me
