When I try to record a report application, when I run report data report is displayed in new window. QTP doest recognise record this new window. How to know whether data is there in new window or not.

Your question is little bit confusing.try while recording new window in Analog record mode.(Test-->Analog recording) This may help you.

The qtp support for business objects depends on the primary language used through proper add-ins.
If Java, use the Java add-in (and maybe the Extensability).
If VB, use the VB add-in.
If web based, use the Web add-in.
and so on
Hence it depends on programming language.

Photoshop is a .Net application and QTP does recognises the objects of a .Net application

When adding object from repository dialog box it doesn't add the new object to the existing parent page(flight confirm mercury) instead it creates new page(flight confirm mercury_2) and adds the new object under it. how to overcome this problem

As Per my understanding, 1 : May be ur Object Indentification Setting, bec of added two times, 2 : Frame, Page may be different While Capture the Objects, so that added two times

Is there any way that v can start recording our script with the same page, without creating a new instance for that page. for e.g. continuing our script recording with 'flight confirm mercury' page only, even if 'flight confirm mercury' exists in the OR?

You need to access the database where the holiday details are stored.From current date increment by one. Check if the date is present in the holiday list.If yes keep the business date counter same.Else if no increment the business date counter. Repeat for the no of business date req.

If the properties other than the name of the window are same u can use a regular expression for the name of the window and put it in a loop.Do While Window(*).Exists -----operation to be performed------End Do

Per Action Repository is specific to only one QTP script.While Shared Repository can be used in which ever Script desired. Just that whenever any modification is done in the Shared OR, it should again be saved otherwise it will not be effected when used later.

How do I use text checkpoint in QTP as everytime I use this checkpoint in the excel sheet and highlight the text I want to check, the results will always display fail even tough the string can be found in the excel sheet.

Using GetROProperty get text from the object store it in variable and get text from the excel store it in one variable. Use Trim method to those variables and try to compare those two variables.
