Per Action Repository is specific to only one QTP script.While Shared Repository can be used in which ever Script desired. Just that whenever any modification is done in the Shared OR, it should again be saved otherwise it will not be effected when used later.

Select the particular action and click on the position form where you want to run the script. Then Right Click and select "Run From Step".

Select the action, which you wanna run from the Action list in the Action Tool bar and then select the first line of the script, right click and select RunfromStep command....... Some one posted like to execute the command RunFromAction but the command doesn't exist.Thanks,Brahma sagar

In object repository QTP stores the information about the object. There are two types....1 shared Object Repository 2 per action Object Repository Object file stores the information of objects.

As RaviQTP says..it is not allowed to change the repoitory type once the test is created. we have to create a new test to change the type of repository

The possible reason might be that you have assigned a default session as A, while you might be opening some other saved session or a new session everytime. Ensure that you have assigned name to the session on which you will be performing automation.

when I run my test script, only the first row of the data table gets executed and the test results are shown up. Test script doesn't run through the other rows of the data table. I am using global data table.Did anybody experience this kind of problem. If so, what could be the cause of it? Please share your experience and any suggestions are welcome.Thanks in advance
