If suppose sp is 100% (assume)
Then gain % is 25%..
Then subtract it from sp we will get cp i.e 100-25=75%.
We know two basic formulas %gain=(gain/cp)*100 . or %loss=(loss/cp)*100.
So %gain=(25/75)*100=33.33

There are a total of 150 weights. Let the number of 1 Kg weights be 'x'. Then the number of 2 Kg weights is '150 - x'. The sum of the weights is 260 Kg. ie [x * 1 + (150 - x) * 2] = 260. By solving this you will get 'x' as 40.

Let speed of the ship be 1 mile/hr. then speed of the seaplane is 10 miles/hr. so, to travel 18 miles he seaplane requires 1.8 hrs. and in this 1.8 hrs. the ship has travelled 1.8 miles more. Therefore seaplane catch up with the ship at a distance of (18+1.8)=19.8=20 miles approx. from the shore.

Let assume the length across the river is x;By given cost 5x=4*3000+5*900so x=3300 3300/2=1650so the point is 1650m from x axis, and 450m(half of distance bet banks) from y axis(450,1650)
