In these type of questions, formula used is

gain%=(Error/(true value-error))*100

so 300/47=error/(True value-error)*100

3/47=error/(1000-error)

on solving u get error =60
if error is sixty that means he is using a weight of 1000-60=940gm

Dealer gains (300/47)% for a Kg.
Let cost price is Rs100
i.e he gains Rs(300/47) for a Kg
i.e his selling price is Rs(100+300/47)

Now
If he used proper weight then
selling price of Rs100 would account for 1Kg
and selling price of Rs(100+300/47) would account for 1.06382979Kg (approx)

Now
Dishonest 1.06382979Kg is equal to honest 1 Kg
therefore dishonest 1 Kg is equal to honest (1/1.06382979) Kg
=940 gm approx.
