It is due to wrong server connection, try to assign server correctly because the IP address what you are using may change, so try to resolve IP address in work flow manager -> assign server configuration.

Go to the mapping designer check the source username, after that go to session task double click on it go to mapping tab, check the source connection if the name that is mentioned in this tab is not same as the user name what you have used as source change it to that.

I have a flat file which i am using as my source , i want to match the records in the flat files with that of my oracle table(using cust_id field). I was advised that i should be using a look up transformation and a filter transformation for this. I am not understanding why i should be using the look up transformation. can anyone please helpThanksNayana

The purpose of using lookup transformation is to check the existing data in target table with the column cust_id after satsifying the condition the rows obtained are used according to your business logic using filter transformation

You should use joiner, then you can use filter if you want, or you can enter the filter condition in joiner as well.

How to reduce load times

If ur source is flat file,the pcs reads 1024 bytes perone line.If the line containg the bytes less than this number to improve session performance u can tune the 'Line sequntial buffer lenth" in session properties.

Can u start a session inside a batch idividually?
We can start our required session only in case of sequential batch.in case of concurrent batch we cant do like this.

Yes, we can do this in any case. Sequential or concurrent doesn't matter.Ther is no absolute concurrent workflow. Every workflow starts with a "start" task and hence the workflow is a hybrid.
