What is the difference between Routable and Non-Routable protocol?

routable protocol,means which is help in routing,routing means find the best available path in the network,
routable protocol ,RIP,OSPF,EIGRP(cisco proprietary protocol).

Non routable,means,which is used to carries data,like email,file...etc.

non routable,means e.g,IP,smtp,pop.
