Fish Model is nothing but one of the SDLC model thats it, Nothing more than that. As we know that V Model, Fish Model is also similar to V-Model. In fish model also we are following multiple stages of Developement along with multiple stages of testing same as V-model thats it...

Fish model
This is a process oriented company's development model. Even though it is a time consuming and expensive model, One can be rest assured that both verification and validation is done paralley by separate teams in each phase of the model. So there are two reports generated by the end of each phase , one for validation and one for verification. Because all the stages except the last delivery and maintenance phase is covered , by the two parallel processes, the structure of this model looks like a skeleton between two parallel lines, hence the name fish model.

Advantages:
This strict process results in products of exceptional quality. So one of the important objective is achieved.

Disadvantages:
Time consuming and expensive.

Fish model explains the mapping between different stages of development and testing.

Phase 1:
Information gathering takes place and here the BRS document is prepared.

Phase 2:
Analysis takes place. During this phase, development people prepare SRS document which is a combination of functional requirement specification and system requirement specification. During this phase, testing people are going for reviews.

Phase-3:
Design phase. here HLD and LLD high level design document and low level design documents are prepared by development team. Here, the testing people are going for prototype reviews.

Phase-4:
Coding phase. White box testers start coding and white box testing is being conducted by testing team.

Phase-5:
Testing phase. white box testing takes place by the black box test engineers.

Phase-6:
Release and maintenance.

In the fish model we have to do testing from the project initiation node to maintenance ,this is the reason why fish model is costly and time taking apart from tis by using this we can deliver a good quality software to the customers,first it was rejected by most of the companies but later artificial intelligence found that it is must to maintain quality in there projects, because their proj are very costly(500 cores) so failure will cause a lot of damage and loss,now it is being used in health care devices(for performing operations etc) it is used in more complex projects.
