Can we have 2 DHCP servers within 1 network ? If No why ? If yes IP address will conflict or not.

No we can't have 2 DHCP servers in one network, coz it is used to provide IP address to the clients. If two server are supposed to distribute at a time there will be a conflict of the given and reserved IP addresses  between two distribution points.

Yes we can configure 2 DHCP server in a single network. We can configure 2 diff IP pool for each server. if want more details pls contact me, amjith @ india . com

Yes, we can have as many multiple DHCP servers, as it can asign IPs from the same scope are different scope. Depends upon the requirement. Like we can have some thing called as stand-by server or secondary server incase the primary fails. Thanks

Yes, we can have two DHCP servers on a single network all we need is to assign two different range of IP address to both the server but of same class.

Yes, we can create as much scopes on the same network. For this what we have to do:- First we can create more than one scope and afterwards we have to create superscope, and merge as much scopes in that. This is mainly use for load balancing of network and fault tolerance.
