Many methods can be used like scenario walkthrough with stakeholders and asking questions which will elaborate the process. Identifying system capabilities and limitations and working ways around these to complete the flow matching the requirements. In a nutshell, identify what all systems are involved, what these systems can and can not do, which system will do what and when while discussing the scenario.

One way which I find especially useful is the use of post it notes which you can place in whatever sequence and and keep on changing till you arrive at the final point. As a last checkpoint, check if the scenario end result is in alignment with the
requirements. If yes, document it.
