Sir, i have around 4+ experience in gis field ,specalising in digitization of maps and Now I want to switch my carrer in softwarefield please guide me if sap module or doing oracle application or dba course will help me enter IT field and i am m.c.a degree holder (distance education).

Allready u have a good start of 4 years. Instead of opting for career change, try to sharpen ur GIS career by enriching urself in the line of analysis ( transportation, utility services like pipelining, site suitability analysis etc). There is a huge career demand for GIS try to learn GIS development like Arcobject, Mapx etc., and for Database try using oracle database(Oracle Spatial).
If u feel that u are acedamically not qualified for GIS, Madras university is offering M.Sc in geography (distance education) for two years. Try it.
