Difference between Win95,98,2000,NT

win95 and 98 is not networking based but win 2000 and NT are networking base OS and can be made multiuser.

Diff between unix and linux is that linux is look alike of unix which is freely available.Linux is based on the principles of FSF(free software foundation) and whose use is subject to GPL.Every application's source code is available and can be customised according the end user under GPL conditions.
Linux has all the features of unix plus its own.There are some differences in filesystem and configuration files
say for ex:
filesystem(linux) : ext2,ext3
filesystem(Unix) : ufs
