My CICS Screen looks like this. Enter Notes Print/No Print ___________________ N ___________________ N ___________________ N ___________________ N ___________________ N ___________________ N ___________________ N This is an existing screen, Whenever i type on the notes field, once it reaches to the end of the line it skips to print field and if we type any thing there it will skip to second line of the notes field. My requirement is: 1. If i type data until end of the notes line, it should skip to second line of notes rather that print field. If the first point is not feasible, 2. While entering data on the notes field, at the end of the line it should give a beep, so that the user can understand that he has reached the end of line. Any ideas are appreciated.

last byte of the unprotect field givung the autoskip command in ur map designed it will skip to next unprotect field and ot is not overwrite of N.

As per my understanding,

if we want to restrict the user/to make him stop not to enter further any thing, we can take care this by making use of Stopping technique,which is a one byte field as soon as it reaches the last byte of the field it halts there and even for this u can make use of skipping technique which jumps to the next unprotected field.

This how we can make use of
