Baselining is making the deliverable(can be a test case or code) with respect to the software version by using the supporting document.

The supporting document should also be baselined as per the software version

 Hi,

A Baseline is a reference point at which the status of the product or product items is established and recorded so that its growth or decline can be tracked.      A Baseline is a specification or product that has formally reviewed and agreed upon , that thereafter serves as the basis for further development and that can be changed only through formal change control procedures.
