Baseline Performance Test

Can LoadRunner be used for baseline performance test, and if yes, then how, when and with what limitation?

Sometimes it happens that we don't know in any aspect like a newly devloped application
so for knowing its behavior performance wise we conduct a standard test called baseline test. in this test usually run it for an hr with in general all srcipts and check what ur app. would behave so that you can prepare urself for possible challenges.
