The goal of software testing is to cost effectively identify and communicate as many potential problems with the software as possible and iterate with the development team until the identified bugs are eliminated. This goal is consistent with the goal of the development team to provide high quality software that is free of errors.

The Two primary goals of testing include

1) Verification : which means evaluating a work product, component or system to determine whether it meets the requirement set .It answers the question "Is the product delivered according to specification?"

2) Validation : Which means evaluating a work product component or system to determine whether it meets the user needs and requirements. It focuses on question "Does the delivered product provide a solution? "
These two process are carried out parallel to each to achieve the desired goals

The two primary goals of testing is
1. To make sure that we have covered all the requirement and functionality which is given by the client and the customer.

2. Most important of the Quality team is to make sure that the Major features and the unique features which gives profit to the company is working perfectly and does not break when the developers are building up their modules. So as a tester we should keep in mind that we do lot of Different Scenario testing before we approve any build that is given by the developing team and the tester and the developer help each other by understanding the scenario and understand the severity how the application works and how critical each and every functionality and features is for the client and the end client.
