How do u do usability testing,security testing,installation testing,ADHOC,safety and smoke testing?

usability testing : testing the userfriendliness , simplicity of software. Security testing is testing the acess rights example adimn has all rights, user1 has only right to read and open not to write . Installation testing is testing the software while installing it in different environment.Safety and security goes hand in hand most of the time it used logins . Smoke testing is test the software whether it can hold furture testing . If u want to Test the basic functionalities then we go for ADHOC it hapens if we dont have time to test procedure wise

But when are these testings carried out in the testing life cycle?? DO usability testing have test cases?

DEar All,
   The answer to the above scenerio is:
1. Usability Testing : it is nothing but userfriendlyness of the application.
    A good userfriendlyness of applications says that how the product wil reduce lot complixity.
In this Generally we do testing about Look and feel of the application.
Background Color, Images, Font,Allignment, Navigation
It is just Like u r NOKIA phone easy to understand & Navigate various Options.
2.Security Testing : Hz well system protects from unauthorized access.
3. Installation Testing : says that hz we deploy the build into u r application.
   Generally we use to test after deploying the build. Just Like Installation Procedure.
It may vary from Windows to Unix.or diff os.
4.ADHOC Testing : THis can done for ensure that mainfunctionalities are working fine. it is generally ensure that at the end of the day the application is working fine. But we can't reproduce the bug.
Smoke Testing : Testing whether the build is suitable for further testing or not. generally we execute main functional testcases here.
There will be the lot ways in the companies depends on how they will follow.
