First Connect to Test Director/QC from QTP. This option can be seen in File Menu.Once its is done( after giving the login id,pw,project etc.), using Save/Save as you can save the QTP recordings/ automated cases created in QTP in TD/QC.

To do this, first we need to Download and RUN the Test Director ADD-Ins in local system, then you can find the "Export to Test Director" Option under the Tools in Excel sheet.

To my knowledge various options are available in the Test lab.Select the test you execute and right click.Options are provided for you to save in formats like excel,word and xml so on.Cheers,Ram

We have been using an app called GenericSQLReport to get Excel and Access files of TD info which made our lives a lot easier to produce the reports we need. Upgraded to Test director version 9 and now GenericSQLReport.exe Does Not Work.. But since they upgraded to TD v9 from v8 last week it won't work. When you work with WinRunner, you can choose to save your tests directly to your TestDirector database or while creating a test case in the TestDirector we can specify whether the script in automated or manual. And if it is automated script then TestDirector will build a skeleton for the script that can be later modified into one which could be used to test the AUT.

I tried Second one its not working, when you select defect copy into Clipboard and past in the Excel, its pasing only defect no..if am not wrong, the only whey to save into Excel is we need select file, Rlight click and Save As option there we can get into Excel.if its worg pls correct me

Hi To export the test cases from spreadsheet to TD there are 8 steps.In 6th step we need to map the Td fields with corresponding Spreadsheet columns.Hence you are the mapping so you can map according to your specifications.hope this will solve your problem if not please let me know?Noor
