Pipe:two related processors can communicate to exchange the data. Drawback:only related processors can communicate.
FIFO:only two processors can communicate either related or unrelated processors.
Drawback: both reader and writer can alive, other wise communication is not possible.

Named pipe is FIFO.FIFO pipe create syntax is mknod() or mkfifo().Main thing in pipe,we cannot see the created pipe any where in the system.Named pipe is a file persistent.
