Why do we use joins, instead subquery has same operation?

JOINS are used to retriveing data from more then one table.
SUBQUERIES are used to condition depends upon one data retriving from another table at the time we use subqueries.

JOINs are used where you have a complex and large queries. SubQuery is used where you have a very simple scenario and your query is not too lengthy.

UNION or UNION ALL can be used if all column names are same in both the tables... else use join condition to retrieve data from both the tables if the tables have at least one common column

I Tried by giving......................... ALTER table table name rename column tocolumn name was changed but it's not giving entire table with altered column name.It's giving only the altered column.

In T-SQL its not possible to rename the column name therefore use sp_rename
