Execution of this query will give an error.We will get error in this Case as the the out put for table 1 is a string where as the the return of table 2 is a number and both are of different datatype.

Instead of creating multiple cache files informatica server creates only one cache file for all the lookups used with in the mapping which selected as a shared cache option.

If you are using single lookup and you are using only for reading tha data you can use satatic cache

It is not possible to change the target table dynamically. According to me, we can change the connection of the table dynamically by changing the session properties.

Look up transformation compares the soure with specified target table,and forwarded the records to next tranformation only matched records.If not match,it returns NULL

Hi guys,I have a question why my Informatica PowerCenter Workflow Manager does not show the repository anymore. I can't connect it because the screen is totally blank. The connect and disconnect tools can't be clicked. The only thing i can click is Add. So, how can i make it work again? This suddenly happens like that.

hi, as per my knowledge, you need matching keys to join two relational sources both in Source qualifier as well as in Joiner transformation. But the difference is that in Source qualifier, both the keys must have primary key - foreign key relation, Whereas in Joiner transformation its not needed.

If possible using Lookup will give better performance over joiner.Using lookup we can perform?outer joins, equi, and non equi joins.Using joiner we can perform only equi joins.In lookup we can also write SQL ovverrides.

NO. Informatica is not at all concern with back end data base.It displays u all the information that is to be stored in repository.If want to reflect back end changes to informatica screens, again u have to import from back end to informatica by valid connection.And u have to replace the existing files with imported files.
