In lookup transformation there is a default clause ORDER BY...  but in case of Source Qualifier we have to give manually.

Yes.Because reusable tranformation is not contained with any maplet or maping.

Hi, you can use the mapping parameters or variables in a reusable transformation. And when you use the xformation in a mapping, during execution of the session it validates if the mapping parameter that is used in the xformation is defined with this mapping or not. If not, the session fails.

In realtime star schema is the better one. Surrogate key is linked to the lowest level. For example?country, state, city, area in this surrogate key is with 'AREA'

In real time only star schema will implement because it will take less time and surrogate key will there in each and every dimension table in star schema and this surrogate key will assign as foreign key in fact table.

Register the flat file as source and create a mapping with file as source.After SQ Txf, create a Filter Txf and make it false to write to a dummy target.Create a workflow and in that session variable SrcSuccessRows > 0 True means you have data False means no data

When I use the Informatica Workflow Monitor, I can see the properties by double clicking the running session task. But where is the file about the properties, because I want to read the information of the properties through some other development tools. I checked the log file, the it is not what I want. So anyone can help me to get the contents of the properties? Thank you very much~~

Decode can be used in select statement whereas IIF cannot be used.

U can use decode in conditioning coloumns also while we cann't use iff but u can use case. but by using decode retrieveing data is quick
