Yes, we can in the lab, theire is a winding denotes on the machine panel where it is the series or shunt motor, where series motor having less no. of turns of field in seies with armature and shunt has more no. of turns of field in shunt with armature.

For a high rating motor the torque is very high. We require a high starting curent in the very begining to develop this torque, so the starter is kept soft so that it does not make the motor off for increasing value of current but the process is done upto?a certain limit of current.

Line which is used to trasmit the high voltage or high power is called transmission line, high voltage E.g. 220kv, 132kv, 66kv etc. all this voltage are of transmission voltage range. Example of transmission line is : D.C line of +/- 800kv from Chandrapur to Padage in India

Sine wave is best suited for commercial generation purposes because it will have a single unique frequency. I f we genrate a square wave ( by using concentrated windin in alternator) the problem of harmonics would arise.
