Fuse Rating

Dear All

I wan to know that we are using large type of cable like 300sqmm and other and our load also in much kw but we are using a small type fuse in main supply (not HT Side) how can it bear load.

Fuse rating and cabel selection is depend upon the load current and fuse current is always greater than the load current. Suppose  your load is motor then the starting current of motor is 3 times greater than the normal current then your fuse rating must be somewhat higher than the motor starting current. So fuse rating is depend on your load current and type of load your using, it never depend on your cabel selection. If your load is in much of kw then just calculate the load current and then decide the rating of the fuse
