Why Transistors are not used as switching devices?

This is not a correct question. If an interviewer asks you, you should ask in return what kind of transistor are you talking about? Is it MOSFET, BJT, THYRISTOR etc. All semiconductor transistors are used as switching devices depending upon the application.

Earth has the constant potential so we take it as reference.but in steo & touch voltage we use to calculate voltage of ground in 30 inch. How it is possible if no current can flow through ground?

During fault to have shortest resistance path is ground. Hence current flows through ground. hence we take 30inch during calculation.Voltage difference is created and current flows.

We are taking earth as reference it means it's?potential is not absolutely "ZERO" but approximatelly it is zero .and the potential is not equal allover the earth it varies from place to place so we measure at 30 m in to earth

Power Consumed
If v=220V, I=25A, power factor=0.8, frequency=400Hz. If the motor runs for 3 hours, What is the power consumed?

Calculating power, frequency and time is not required. P=V*I*Cos0 =220*25*0.8 =4400 watts answer But if you are looking for "How much energy motor consumed?" then you need time Energy consumed ...

Here Freq was given was wrong P V*I*CosAA is power factor V is VoltageI is Current P 220*25*0.8P 4400wattsPower P is 4.4Kwatts for one hour.For 3 hrs 4.4KW*3 = 13.2KW

The output of generator having 120 degree phaseshift. Ever time the instantaneous magntiude will be root 3 times the phase voltage. The magnitude will be same. While measuring we are considering the two phases which is maximum.

in another way of diffenationsthe thyristor can be diffened as a valve controlling flow ( current) to have this flow we have to open this valve ( by the gate pulse) the flow will be continous unless the flow is enough

When capacitor is connected in series with the supply source (dc battery) ,capacitor gets fully charged and as a no current flows to the load!!!! When capacitor is connected in series with the supply source (ac) ,a leading current flows through the load.

The series capacitor is conected to compensate for the line inductance and thus decrease the line reactance so that more power can be tranferred through the line (EV/X sin(delta)) and thus the system stability can be increased.

Increase in load means, we are utilising more power , and the voltage of many systes is almost constant. so for increasing power current will increase.
