I cannot give a exact answer as it depends on the project you are going to take.BUt I hope that the concern or the company which is taking for project is aware of this and so would be giving a training initally to navigate through mainframes and then assign a simple project.

Priya what I would suggest you is since you have got ample time to spend you could learn some good testing tools and widen your knowledge and scope in testing area which would help you to shift if in case you feel like doing a shift in future.
You can go to the website of Capgemini and check for current vacancies or you coul also search in good job database websites like naukri if there is any vacancy for Java/J2ee in Capgemini. You could also pass your resume through good consultants saying your preference.
If you have knowledge in the area of ERP/CRM modules you could try for the shift. But I would suggest that having gained in a good technology like c++ and oracle 9i you could work in it for some more time and also in addition gain wide knowledge in ERP/CRM modules and try fr the same.All the Best.
