TRANSDUCER: A transducer is a device that convert one form of energy into other form of energy.

  
TRANSPONDER: A transponder is a combination of transmitter+receiver. it receives the weak incoming signal, amplifies it and again transmit the signal. It is mainly used in satellite communication.
