Normally system loading refers to capacity of your system how many users can
hold, what is the maximum throughput, hit/sec can handle and time duration
before it goes down.

While going for load testing do the following to load the system with
respective your business functional scenario.

Start with current number of users and increate every 30min with 10 % of
current users.
-Measure the statistics like failed transactions, response time and throughput,
& hits per second. once you are system is good enough the load you have put are
generated on the system and repeat the same again and again till you reach out
your maximum load is achieved. based on the runs you did in the execution draw
the conclusion with what number of users, hardware & software setting, duration
your system will cope and suitable in production.
