1) Whenever we have Q systems, EAI sonorous we need XML transformation.

2) To handle unstructured data/semi structured data (.PDF) we need XML
transformation. Because .PDF files had tags, Informatica power center cannot
read these tags; the bottom line is Informatica power center cannot read .PDF
data directly. But in some situations we have to work with that .PDF s at any
cost. Then use ITEM FIELD (Electronic data Inter change). Item Field can convert
.PDF s into XMLs, Power center can read XMLs, and so the problem is solved.
