One of the best ways to handle end users when they are opposed to process change, is to understand the basis of their resistance and to explain them about the advantages of  the process change. This can be done by conducting group meetings with users and clarifying their doubts about the process alteration and also introduce them to the new process and explain the long term advantages involved in using the new technology and process.

We can also make a prototype of the system and explain the new process. we can also align the screen level data entry to that of the existing data fields so that the end users do not have much change in data entry. This would make them more confident about the system.
