You can restrict an object / class / universe

In the Designer go to Tools --> ManageAccess restrictions

a new window will open, at the top of this window you will have labels as

objects --- classes --- table mappings --- universe connection

Select the type of restriction and provide the name, if your restriction is on
class then select the class from the list of classes displayed on the left hand
side then click ---> button to add that class.
Now in the main window at the right hand side and at bottom select the user/group for restriction and click the predefined restriction and click apply then the defined class restriction will be applied to particular user or group.
you can test it after logging on to particular user.

you cant restrict a universe directly as
you can do for classes/objects. In this case what you have to do is provide an
alternate connection for the universe.
