RUP(Rational Unified Process) we do the process iteratively.
Agile is similar to waterfall methodology.

RUP
The basic difference is that in RUP each and every phase will move on iteratively
(Analysis and Requirements,Design, Development, Testing)
Requirements are gathered iteratively and each and every dept move on based on the draft requirements gathered on phase1.No one will sit idle in this process, very efficient and quick.

Agile
Agile is not iterative, all the departments will wait(Design, Development, Testing) until the whole requirements documents is completed and signed-off by our SMEs(Subject Matter Eperts) so called Users.It is time consuming, rest of the departments will sit idle untill the Requirements phase is completed.

I would like to assume that Agile diagrams means Agile methodology process and RUP diagram means RUP process.

So, Agile processes are primarily quick iteration based (2-4 weeks) and consists of small development and quick feedback cycle. Each iteration has its own steps. E.g. in Scrum has build, wrap, review, adjust.

RUP process consists of 4 phases (inception, elaboration, construction and transition). Each phase has own iterations, in each iteration tasks are categorized in 9 disciplines (Business modelling, requirement capturing, analysis and design, implemenation, test, deployement, change and control management, project management and environment)
