Hi,

In the Test plan u would list all the test cases that u wanted to execute with out the actual result and in the Test Lab u would execute the test case in the test plan and write the actual result. Test Lab will always be linked to Test Plan. You would create a folder with some name both in test lab and test plan so that u would recognize it very easily. Then u would link the test plan folder with the test lab folder in that process it will ask u how u want to execute ur test case(manual or automated).
