UFS is Unix Native File system..It will support max 1 Terrabyte volume
VXFS is Veritas File system. Its third party software..from veritas ( Adopted by Symatec). It will support the vloume size more than 1 TB. For VXFS fsck is not reqiure ..

UFS :- UFS is having limited inodes. UFS is u can't increase and decrease the volumes and filesystems VXFS:- VXFS is having lot of inodes. VXFS is u can increase and decrease the volumes and filesystem at a time online.
