There is French dictionary and if you want to check it in English and there is no documentation available then how you will test it and write a test case and Test scenario on it.

It is somewhat tough to answer but I feel that we can atleast do GUI testing with the help of any user manual or any book which converts French to English.

Question is not clear??

You mean French-French dictionary? If it is french-french dictionary then for testing that french language skill is mandatory.

If it is french-english dictionary then there may be few choices to test.

If it is english-french dictionary , then we may have more choices to do.

But in all the cases, tester with both french language / english language skills is highly recommended.
