What do you mean by priority of thread?

Thread is dispatchable unit of work and Process is group of inter related threads. So when you start more than one process in single JVM, JVM will give default priority to all threads. If you want alter the default priorities of thread or if you want alter the series of Thread execution you need to change the priority of Thread. The same solution is applicable to Operating system as well.
